NOTICE OF INTENT TO LEASE WATER TOWER SPACE: The public is hereby notified that the Town Council of the Town of Atlantic Beach intends to evaluate and possibly authorize a lease agreement for rental of certain space upon its water tower located at the corner of East and East Bogue Drive to Cellco Partnership, doing business a Verizon Wireless, for placement of certain cellular communications equipment.  If approved, the lease would be for an initial term of five years beginning March 1, 2012 with a potential additional five year extension.  Lease payments would include a $10,000 initial payment and annual payments of $6,000.00, increasing by three percent (3%) each year during the term and any extension.  Consideration of the lease will occur during the Town Council’s regular meeting on February 27, 2012 in the council chambers located behind Town Hall, beginning at 6:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be taken up.
