Coming to a neighborhood near you!

With the assistance of the N.C. Department of Crime Control and Pubic Safety, residents and visitors are seeing Officers riding Segway vehicles.  These 2 wheeled vehicles are electrically powered and can operate for a significant time on a single charge.  

Crime Control and Public Safety awarded the Police department $9,000.00 towards the purchase of these vehicles.  They are currently being used throughout the town by Officers on Patrol.  They are great tools for promoting conversation and safety for our residents and visitors.
