Jr. Lifeguard Program
Atlantic Beach is excited to offer a Junior Lifeguard program to our citizens and visitors. For 2011, there will be four different sessions held. For more information, contact Fire Chief Adam Snyder. The 2010 program was such a success, that the 2011 program was expanded to four sessions instead of just two. Within weeks of opening the registration to the public, all four sessions were full.

Coral Bay Park

The Town has opened their new park at the Coral Bay Shopping Center, at 915 W Fort Macon Road, across from the Atlantic Station Shopping Center. This park has a large playset and swingset for big and little kids to enjoy. Plans include a basketball goal to be installed soon. If you and your family are looking for a shady place to enjoy a picnic, please visit the well-lighted shaded picnic site beside the playground equipment.

"Circle" Beach Access Facelift

Please visit the Town's main beach access at the "Circle". Staff works hard to keep it maintained and clean for our residents and summertime visitors with a freshly painted, newly designed seawall, three volleyball courts, a soccer court, refreshing paint and look to the on-sand wooden swingset, three lifeguard stands, and a swingset by the old Pavilion parking lot. This is the site for the weekly outdoor movies and other summer activities planned. This is also the location of the Carteret County Parks & Recreation sponsored and coordinated summer annual beach run series and volleyball tournaments.
