National Night Out

National Night Out 2009 was a success

We thank all of our local businesses who donated time, money, and food for this event, as well as the Pine Knoll Shores Police Department for making this a joint effort between the two towns. The event provided a free night of food (hot dogs, pizza, BBQ sandwiches, and more), multiple bouncing toys for children to play on, gift bags full of NNO giveaways, and raffles. As you can see from the photos, it was a great time for everyone in the community that attended.

Message from Police Chief G. Allen Smith:

As Chief of Police, this year marks my third being involved with this annual event and without a doubt our most successful year. Members of our department along with members of the Pine Knoll Shores Police Department as well as members of fire, emergency medical services personnel from both towns were on hand to serve citizens and visitors with food and entertainment, members of council from both towns were also on hand to meet, greet and lend a hand serving citizens.

I would like to thank Sergeant Jim Vaselovic (aka Jim E. V.) for his dedication to our annual event and for serving as the event coordinator 2007, 2008 and 2009 and the following businesses and departments who without this event, would not be possible.
