SPECIAL EVENTS /MARKETING COORDINATOR
performs skilled work in planning, organizing, coordinating and promoting
the town’s festivals, events, community activities or branding efforts.
Serves as the Town’s liaison for groups desiring to bring events to Atlantic
Beach and/or special events/marketing efforts or assigned projects of the
Town. This position is highly responsible and works independently; reports
to and is under the direct supervision of the Town Manager. Requires extreme
tact, efficiency, planning and excellent communication skills in
representation of the Town.
Requires possession of an appropriate
driver’s license valid in the State of North Carolina. Able to work
flexible hours. Use of own computer/ laptop/or I-pad, work space, cell
phone, printer, and vehicle. Position is that of an independent contractor
with no Town fringe benefits. Payments made monthly based on hourly rate and
retainer: average work load is 20-30 hours per week. Full job description
