Admin Support
Specialist, Town of Atlantic Beach.
Provides a variety of administrative and record-keeping duties in
support of the public works and water departments; prepares and files
reports; processes accounting, purchasing and budgetary materials for the
department including monthly financial reports and reconciliations; orders
supplies and materials; maintains a variety of computer and manual logs of
information regarding fuel, vehicle usage, timesheets, work orders; and
provides general administrative support to department staff.
Work requires strong public contact skills,
careful accuracy, strong attendance record, reliability with little
supervision. Requires high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Notary Desired.
Computer literacy test must be passed for consideration. Prefer graduation
from a community college in business administration or related field and
considerable experience in administrative support work involving extensive
public contact; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prefer previous experience with governmental, construction, or development
issues. Must be able to work nights, weekends if called in upon disaster to
serve the citizens needs of Atlantic Beach.
Valid drivers license with no more than 6 points
over a 3 year period and no DWI convictions. Must be able to be bonded, pass
a pre-employment drug screening, and satisfactorily pass a background and
credit check. Hiring range $26,916- 33,645. Excellent range of fringe
benefits including: vacation, sick leave, holidays, 401(K), retirement and
health insurance.

Permit Technician/Admin Support, Town

information to developers, contractors and homeowners regarding the permit
and development review process; answers inquiries about zoning, variances,
CAMA and FEMA regulations, and other planning issues and codes; tracks
permits and inspections status; schedules inspections and provides general
administrative support to department staff.
Serves as secretary to the Planning Board,
Board of Adjustment and other groups; attends monthly night meetings to take
minutes; prepares advertisements to comply with legal requirements; assists
in taking follow-up actions following meetings.
